Dildawn is a unique estate featuring large holiday houses for self

and places of interest . We are 2 miles from Castle Douglas the featured food
town with many great pubs, places to eat and shop. We are 20 minutes from
the coastline with several nearby beaches including Kipford mariner great for
sailing , windsurfing , sea fishing and other water based activities. We are 15
minutes from Loch Ken highly recognized for power boating, waterskiing,
canoeing and jet skiing along with a sailing centre. We have several excellent
mountain biking , hiking , horse riding and walking areas surrounding us. Not
to mention the numerous golf courses and driving ranges locally and through

The main house and surrounding buildings date back to the 18th century they
have been fully restored and have been up dated with all modern appliances
to suit today's living. The house and estate were used recently for the location
filming of 'Red Rose' The film of the life of Robert Burns the famous Scottish
poet. The houses have also been featured in building and interior design
programmes.
